Robin McGowan, Chief Executive

Robin has nearly 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector with particular interest in business growth. Through this work, he has developed a keen understanding of business requirements and business planning. Prior to joining the Salisbury BID, Robin worked as a Business Adviser with Business Link and before that was in Business Banking.

Steve Godwin, Business Manager

Steve Godwin, Business Manager

Steve, a local man, joined Robin in the team, working to develop best practice and a partnership approach between retailers, licensed trade, local businesses and regulatory bodies in Salisbury. Aiming to develop a vibrant and growing afternoon and evening economy, Steve is working with Wiltshire Council on the City’s Purple Flag status and brings to the BID team a strong background of partnership working, publicity and promotion. His passion is for Salisbury to become the number one centre of the south.

Andy Milton, City Ranger

Andy Milton, City Ranger

After completing nearly 15 years in the British Army, 9 years in the parcel delivery sector and nearly 5 years in the care industry Andy joins BID with a wealth of knowledge and a can-do attitude. Having an eye for detail, he likes to class himself as a people’s person. ‘Stop me, ask me and I will do whatever I can to help you sort it out.’ Constantly learning every day, Andy is passionate in everything he does.

Nathan Bull, City Ranger

Nathan Bull, City Ranger

Nathan has come from an interesting background. Firstly, he spent several years working with the city as an ambassador, then as a civil enforcement officer working in the public eye. Nathan explains “these jobs gave me a great insight to our historic and market thriving city”. Away from the working atmosphere Nathan enjoys horticulture and keeping chickens that have been saved from slaughter. “I am very approachable individual, and proud to be joining Salisbury BID, if you see me about I will also try my best to answer questions.

Steph Shearing, Events & Marketing Manager

Steph Shearing, Events & Marketing Manager

Steph graduated from The University of Brighton, after completing a degree in International Event Management. After completing her degree, she landed the role of events co-ordinator for the international charity Help for Heroes, where she was integral to the project management of their national Colossal Cake Sale Campaign. After 3 years at Help for Heroes, Steph took a career break to travel to the USA, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong. She then landed the role of Events Manager for Eagle One where she organised the Wilton Shopping Village ice rink in 2014. She will be the main point of contact for all BID funded local events and the Christmas Market.

Charlotte Bruce-Kerr, Events & Marketing Assistant

Charlotte Bruce-Kerr, Events & Marketing Assistant

After graduating from Brighton Institute of Modern Music with a degree in event management, Charlotte has returned home and joins the BID team full time as an events and marketing assistant. She helps with Salisbury Christmas Market, Visit Salisbury, BID marketing and events.

Kirby Dunwell, Business Support Co-ordinator

Kirby Dunwell, Business Support Co-ordinator

Kirby has just completed her undergraduate degree in history at the University of Exeter where she was a member of the university Welcome Team who work alongside local police and authorities to ensure the safety of students on and off campus. Kirby is a keen philanthropist and has fundraised and volunteered for many local and national charities.

Richard Goodman, Crime Prevention Officer

Richard has just completed 30 years with Wiltshire Police, the last ten years with the Neighbourhood Policing teams looking after Salisbury. Richard has worked in local community policing solving problems and issues that really mattered to residents and business and has a passion for Salisbury and knows that to get the best results you need to work with business, councils, charities, and individuals. He is pleased and excited that he can use his experience to develop and grow the good work that is happening in Salisbury.
